My feedback from showing my first 3 final images was quite positive. The statement page needs a bit of work with the phrasing and grammar but the images are good and I will be keeping them for the final submission.
I was told that if I want to take that next step further and really push my images I should play around with the variety of things e.g. clothes, back drops. I was also told that dropping in subtle hints of the rebellion movement would be good. I had already done this in my first shoot with a vinyl cover that had Martin Luther King on the front, however I did not like these images as the framing was bad. I was planning on recreating these photos in my second shoot, making sure I framed the shot right, but this time I had forgotten the vinyl cover.
I will be doing one last shoot in the studio during our lesson time. Even though it will be tight to fit it in around other work, I really want to get the best out of my images as I’m really passionate about the 70s and want to do it justice. In this shoot I will get the picture with the vinyl cover and I will use different outfits. I will also use different coloured backdrops, at the moment I’m thinking yellow or green would look good.
